We goin' to the Village!

So Last January, my school held an activity called "Bakti Desa" for the second-year students only. This activity probably was intended to make us, the downtown kids, to understand and feel the atmosphere and the life in the village for three days straight.

And the location is in~~ Cibeureum Village!
Okay so the first day, we made friends with the kids there. We are about five years apart and they were so cute. We, along with the kids there, were able to go to a tea field. We had fun running and kind of chasing each other with laughs here and there without any clear purpose in the tea field. The field wasn't that far from our house, about ten minutes walk.
In the evening, we watched our 'mom' play volleyball with other moms. Her team didn't win though, but it's not like it was a match or something.

On our second day, we were invited by our 'father' to visit his own field and help him so some jobs there! That day was probably the day we took most pictures we have now, because on our way to the field, we walked along the hill and many villager's field, and holy moly, the view was satisfyingly beautiful and fresh! Everything is so greeny green, it felt fresh and great, my eyes had been blessed~

Because really, the fact says that the color green can relax your eyes, isn't that amazing?!

Near our father's field, some farmers were harvesting leeks and we were willing to help them, although our help didn't mean much, we wanted to try doing it. That was the first time I've harvested leeks and it was so much fun! The farmers were all very kind even though we were actually closer to disturbing and bothering them rather than really helping them. So we didn't stay for long, we were actually aware of what we were really doing in the field lol.

We then went to KM 0 Citarum and man, it wasn't what I'd been expecting. It was pretty much so-so, andfrankly speakingㅡit's not more than just a normal lake and was a bit dirty. But anyway, our legs were almost at their limit (because we still needed to get back to our house).
We went back to our houseㅡwith our numb legs.
It was eventually our last day there that the kids were a crying messㅡand us too. We hugged a lot, we cried, and my clothes were wet because of theirㅡand my ownㅡtears. Girls look the ugliest when they cry, and we were no exception, but we were all girls, so it's fine. I knew we will miss each other, even now, while I'm writing this, I suddenly have this urge to meet them again right now.

It's amazing how we were just meeting and knowing each other for less than 72 hours, but we can be this affectionate (lol) and feel the strong connection between us as if we've been knowing each other for years. It makes me believe 'yes, everyone here is very welcoming.'

Hope to see you again, girls.
