The Convenience of Online-based-transportation

Technological development has made various innovation and one of the examples is the online-based-transportation. It is a software that is able to call two-wheeled or four-wheeled vehicles whenever and wherever we need. They, the companies, have many drivers that would fetch the customers with a reasonable price. Thus, the society definitely enjoy having online-based-transportation in their life. It sure is really helpful and effective, and despite the convenience, they offer a considerably cheap price.

One of the reasons the society chose this online-based-transportation is because of the reasonable price, the professional service, and how simple it is to order one compared to the local public transportation. However, this price competition is considered harming the local public transportation because, apparently, the companies or the drivers don't pay tax as a public transportation, because they use their own personal transportation, and that is the reason why they can offer cheaper price than the local or offline ones.

Online transportation do help the society, especially in the big cities like Jakarta, Bandung, Bogor, and Surabaya. You just have to download the software in your smartphone, then you can simply order your transportation with a fixed and cheaper price. The security and the safety is guaranteed as the company can easily track their drivers online. The drivers are also selected with many conditions, such as having a complete and non-expired driving license. The companies also give the drivers a helmet for the customers. These conditions make customers feel safe and comfortable.

Unfortunately, this innovation had shown negative affects that have to be handled by the government. As said before, the price competition is considered harming the local public transportation. Finally, the government made a regulation that online public transportation still can not be approved and is illegal until now. Therefore, until now the conflict between online and offline public transportation still exist.

In conclusion, online public transportation helps the society a lot. The convenience and safety, plus the cheap price sure are spoiling the society, they definitely would prefer the online than conventional ones. However, despite the comfort and ease that the society gets, the conventional or offline public transportation drivers are in harm instead. It is unfair and the government clearly understands that as well, but there is still no rules that talks about this case. Therefore, this online public transportation has a positive and negative effects towards the society.

Motion: This House would not use National Exam for graduation standard

Opening Government

• They (the students) have to use the result of the exam to register to national junior high school, senior high school, and so on.
• National exam is useless, not to mention for those who cheat at the examination.

Opening Opposition

• No ability for using National Exam for graduation standard.
• Manipulation of value.

Closing Government

• Average people mindset of "If you fail it, no future for you." Thus, many students depressed and even died because of national exam.
• In Indonesia, they have to use the national exam's result score to register to higher education.

Closing Opposition

• School scores can be manipulated, because sometimes school is about rank and competition, which is actually not.
• Every school have different material in almost every lessons.

Motion: The reality shows bring more harm than good.

Opening Government

• Reality shows has both positive and negative effects, yet there are more negative effects especially to under-aged children who watch contents that are unsuitable for their age.
• Reality shows serves pointless functions in society.
• Children will watch anything that are presented in front of them, and of course, they can not and doesn't even understand what content they're following.

Opening Opposition

• Reality shows amuse the people who watches it.
• National Television Organization will and already filter the content displayed on public televisions, including reality shows.

Closing Government

• Not everybody can differentiate between good and bad content, especially children without their own parents.
• Children will be affected by the contents that they see in many medias.

Closing Opposition

• Choosing which reality shows to watch is still very possible.
• The fact that reality shows has both positive and negative effects shows us that the harm done by bad contents can be avoided.
